I would'nt go back at all but i need Venasections every 3mths.or whenever they decide. The Doctor's don't keep me informed off anything,i could have Cyrriosis, but i don't now.I had a Biopsy done on my liver 10-12yrs.ago,& was diognosed with Cyrriosis of the Liver,Hep.C. & Haemachromatosis,& to this day,i still don't now what state my Liver is in.

a year ago I began to have hip pains, went to my doctor and was sent to the Berkshire independent for test (xrays, MRI, blood test, and the usual poke and prod) very professional, clean and well run hospital. It turns out that I have a torn labrum of the hip plus other minor damage. I was then passed to the Royal Berks for the operation...that is where things went rapidly down hill! I turned up on the 30th of september expecting my operation only to discover it wasnt an op at all just a check up (which I had been havingar both my doctors and at the Berkshire idependant), to add insult to injury my doctor never actually turned back up from his lunch break and after waiting for over an hour and a half to see him, I was eventually seen by his collegue, who then went on to confirm everything I already knew. By this time I was already on morphine and crutches due to my inability to walk or pretty much anything else. after the appointment I was given a disk containing my MRI scans and was told "look after these as we will probably lose them".... to this day 2nd dec 2009 I still havent had any further contact from the hospital as to when my operation is! I am now on higher dosage of morhine and in constant pain. My doctor has written to the hospital twice in an attempt to get some response..non so far... I have phoned the hospital too many times to count..the recepionist puts me through to the secretary, the secretary gives me a number of their appointments team...I call the number but it always goes through to answer phone which says they are open from 9am to 3pm week days even when you call during these times! It allows you to leave a message but goes on to say that they will not call you back!!! so there is no point leaving a message because you will not be able to contact them and they will not call back! I am now seeking legal council based on negligence of this hospital and the staff involved. If you can... stay well clear of this hospital! also... i forgot to mention, whilst there, i was sat out side one of the toilets, a nurse entered, used the toilet, flushed the chain and came out....sounds normal? well at no point was the tap run, neither was there the time for her to wash her hands properly... it is a disgusting, filthy place!

Great service.

I had a pretty severe head injury with severe memory loss and loss of basic mental functions. I was seen very quickly, looked after very well. The hospital was held to a high standard and the doctors were amazing. I think this is much more than should be expected on a tax funded health service. If its not good enough for you, you should start earning some more wonga and go private!
