It's not bad. A good idea, but you need more people on the site. It would also be good to have a clearer guide for users. Not everyone is from the facebook generation. It is obviously a beta site. There are a few small problems that need to get sorted out. Such as the site mail.

Hi mike, thanks for your feedback. We are planning to do a PR campaign in the coming days. As you and other posters have already pointed out, we need a great deal more activity. We are hoping that with our PR campaign we will raise our profile and encourage more doctors to rate hospitals and also more patients to do so as well. The reason we were mentioned in the remedy script is because we can assume that the people who read that are quite engaged and therefor we hoped we would get some people to fill in our survey and to rate hospitals and maybe even to post in forums... We have had fantastic feedback, so our confidence wasnt misplaced and hundreds of people have filled in the survey and come to the site and many doctors have expressed the opinion that it is a great idead and will be very useful IF WE CAN GET MORE PEOPLE USING IT!!! So, its a bit of a chicken and egg problem but we are hoping that the PR campaign will help to boost the number of members and hospital ratings and so make the site more useful. Many thanks for your post.

We are contacting such groups (patient groups as they are known). We are piloting with some of these groups shortly and hopefully, you will see them using the site in the coming weeks. But its a great suggestion!!! Many thanks. Bringing patient groups online and allowing their members to talk to each other and to rate the services that the nhs offers were two of our main objectives. We want to expose the postcode lottery and by getting patients who are really motivated, we hope to do this. This is the only way we can bring pressure to bear on the government and the people who run the health service. We need good hard facts and by getting people to record all the data online we can present it to the peopel in control in a clear fashion.

Hi - I just signed up cos I saw the link in the Remedy script. I think I understand what you're trying to do with this site but how are you going to get the large amounts of docs on the site that you'll need to generate any interesting content? In theory it would be great to be able to have a look at how different hospitals compare, even if it was just voyeuristic. But you're going to need to sort out your PR to get this going. You'll need a lot of doctors to rate hospitals if it's really going to be a means of assessing whether they are good places to work or not. Good luck any way I'll keep my eye open. Mike

Thanks! this is one of our first bits of feedback. We are in fact working on the nxt version of the site that we hope will be much clearer and people will know exactly what to do when they first arrive. We will now get to work on the mail as well. Why not start a group and invite your friends to join it? What we partially rely on, as you can probably guess, is people starting forums and threads and bringing their friends into the site to join. Many thanks for your comment.

Why not contact already existing groups of people who could use this site. I mean people who suffer from an illness and want to talk to other people with the same problem? that woudl generate PR as well as bringin int users...
